In 2010 the Woodie Car Club enters its 10th year and each and every year we try to be more creative in the shows we attend and the events we hold. Our 2010 activity calendar is a little sparse at the moment, but we hope to include a mix of tried & tested and totally new venues very soon.
Saturday 31st July: 8th annual WCC Barbecue Event - start 11am:
Once again, Sandie and Peter Baylis, who run Clanfield Coachbuilding in the village of Little Clanfield, near Faringdon, Oxon, will be hosting the Club's summer barbie bash in their workshops.
If you want to see the art of British coachbuilding at its finest then this is the place to be and at last count Peter even had a couple of Woodies in the workship alongside the more usual Bentleys, Alvises and Rileys.
It's a very informal event and, yes, it is on a Saturday morning - that's so the early birds can check out the other restoration workshops on the complex, which include some of the UK's finest RR and Bentkley restorers.
