Wood was probably the worst possible material to build vehicle bodywork from! The technically-advanced preservatives that we enjoy in the 21st Century had not been invented when wooden-bodied shooting brakes, estate cars and station wagons were in their heyday, and many were lucky to survive beyond their 10th birthday. So enjoy this motley collection of decidedly down-at-heel Woodies and ponder the fact that not only are most of these vehicles currently being restored, or are earmarked for restoration, but you'll be able to read more about them somewhere, sometime, elsewhere in this website.
